CHROMATIC Kisses is a five-piece band that plays a wide selection of genres including Soft Rock, Hip Hop, Rock, RnB, Old School, and Pop. The band will occasionally feature an expansion of members to expand their sound depending on the occasion. They are a solid unit that have been playing together for four years.

The Masque celebrates Youth Day at its first-ever Battle of the Bands: High School Edition on June 16.
Audiences can enjoy the high-octane energy and talent of four high school bands that have been mentored by industry professionals in an afternoon of entertainment and community pride.
Bands taking part include ReHab from Fish Hoek High; Entropy from Muizenberg High; The Honeys from Muizenberg High and Chromatic Kisses from Westridge High.
The young artists have been hand-selected and guided by top local musicians and performers in a mentorship programme that has helped sharpen their skills and boost their confidence.
Coaches for Battle of the Bands: High School Edition 2025 are session guitarist and producer Jonny Blundell; multi-instrumentalist and music educator Qondea “Dhahabu” Avril Mkansi; vocal coach and performer Linley Meavers; and drummer and band mentor Matt Keeson.
Battle of the Bands: High School Edition is part of The Masque’s commitment to creating accessible platforms for youth engagement in the arts, celebrating talent, building community, and offering young musicians a glimpse into the professional world of music and performance.
All funds raised through the event will go towards keeping the community-driven theatre thriving.
“After a series of impressive auditions from young musicians across the Southern Suburbs, these four bands were hand-picked by a panel of respected music industry professionals,” said Christine Kaye, Head of Community at The Masque.
“The bands then had the opportunity to rehearse and work with the coaches, improving their technical skills, stage presence, musicality, and gaining insights into the industry. The true prize of this competition is the experience of learning from professionals and having the platform to perform on The Masque stage.”
