PALMVIEW – In a dramatic early morning incident on Trenance Park Drive, a local resident narrowly avoided serious injury when an out-of-control vehicle crashed through their boundary wall. The shocking event unfolded on Sunday, prompting immediate response from emergency teams in KwaZulu-Natal.
According to reports, the driver, now under scrutiny for allegedly lacking a valid driving license, lost control while attempting to navigate a bend. The collision resulted not only in damage to the property but also left the vehicle significantly damaged as it came to a halt inside the yard.
According to KZN VIP, emergency response teams quickly arrived at the scene after receiving calls about the crash. "Medical personnel assessed the two occupants of the vehicle, and thankfully, both were found to have sustained only minor injuries. They received treatment onsite, avoiding the need for hospitalization, which was a significant relief for all involved," said the company in a statement.
The South African Police Service (SAPS) were also on the scene, taking statements and gathering evidence. They have since launched an investigation to better understand the circumstances that led to the incident. No fatalities were reported, easing concerns within the community over potential loss of life.
