Jesy Nelson celebrates the arrival of twins Ocean Jade and Story Monroe after a challenging pregnancy

Pop star Jesy Nelson has shared the joyous news of the arrival of her twin daughters, Ocean Jade and Story Monroe, born on May 15, following a tumultuous and emotional journey. 

The 33-year-old singer, known for her time in Little Mix, announced on Instagram, revealing that the twins were born 31 weeks into the pregnancy, a few days earlier than anticipated. 

In a heart-warming joint post with her partner Zion Foster, Nelson wrote: “So … Our beautiful baby girls decided to come at 31 weeks plus 5 days. It all happened quickly, but we are so blessed that they are here with us, healthy and fighting strong! We’ve never felt more in love.” 

The couple shared an intimate photograph of themselves cradling their newborns in the hospital, a moment filled with overwhelming joy and relief. Foster later expressed his gratitude on social media, captioning his message, “My princesses are here! Thank you, God.”

Nelson's pregnancy had been fraught with complications, including a diagnosis of twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome, a potentially life-threatening condition impacting pregnancies with identical twins. 

In March, the singer underwent emergency surgery to save her daughters, describing her fear and anxiety in an emotional Instagram post.

“Unfortunately, the symptoms have gotten worse, so they now have to perform the procedure, which is not what we wanted to happen, but it’s necessary because it’s going to give our babies the best chance of surviving,” she revealed. 

“It’s scary because there are so many things that can happen. Pray for us, please.”

In another heartfelt video shared during the pregnancy, Nelson opened up about the challenges of being an expectant mother of identical twins, explaining the difference between mono/di twins, who share a placenta. 

“One baby might take all the nutrients,” she said, conveying the gravity of the situation she was facing and the uncertainty surrounding her pregnancy.

Now, with Ocean and Story safely in their arms, it appears that her worries have transformed into a deep sense of gratitude and love.

In her announcement, she concluded with the heartfelt sentiment, “Everybody, meet Ocean Jade Nelson-Foster and Story Monroe Nelson-Foster.” 

As Nelson embraces her new role as a mother, fans and followers are celebrating this joyous milestone with her, showering the couple with warm wishes and support during this new chapter of their lives.
