Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin nearly eight years romance has come to an end.

US actress Dakota Johnson and musician Chris Martin have officially called it quits.
After being in an on-and-off-again relationship for almost eight years, Johnson and Martin have broken up, and this breakup feels final this time around.
According to “Daily Mail”, a source revealed that Johnson held the relationship together because she loved Martin and his children.
“Their relationship has been over for a long time, they just haven't been able to figure out how to make it official. Johnson held a flame for them to be together because she loved him so much and loved his kids so much.
“Johnson is devastated that she isn't going to be around his kids as much anymore, but wants them to know that she is always there for them,” the source added.
Even though there are multiple online reports about the breakup, it has not yet been confirmed by them or their representatives.
This is not the first time that the couple has been embroiled in breakup rumours.
In August 2024, it was reported that the pair had broken up however, the claims were shut down by Johnson’s representative, saying that the couple is happy.
While a source added: “Sure, they've had issues and taken breaks in the past, but things are great now. They both love their careers. They are balancing things the best they can.”
The “Madame Web” actress and the Coldplay musician first started dating in 2017, and after much online speculation, Johnson subtly confirmed the dating rumours during an interview in 2018.
In 2020, Johnson sparked dating rumours after she was spotted wearing an emerald ring on her left wedding finger.
However, the couple did not confirm the engagement speculation.
The pair are very private about their relationship and hardly share anything online about their relationship matters.
In an interview with “ELLE UK” in 2021, the 35-year-old actress confirmed that she has been with Martin for a while and added that they prefer being private.
“We've been together for quite a while. We go out sometimes, but we both work so much that it's nice to be at home and be cosy and private,” she said.
Martin once said in an interview that it feels right that his relationship with the actress is private.
