Mzansi stars Thapelo Mokoena, Shekhinah, Lloyiso and JR serve style and skill at the Racquet Club launch

Mzansi celebrities can be quite competitive sports and this was proven at the launch of the Stella Artois Racquet Club, where they hit the court and brought out the sportsmanship.
Actor Thapelo Mokoena, musicians Shekhinah, Lloyiso, JR, Nadia Nakai, Thabsie and Langa Mavuso served flair and finesse at the debut of the Stella Artois Racquet Club - an exclusive experience that brings the elegance of global tennis to local padel culture.
No event is ever complete without a star-studded guest list, and the RRacquet Club served exactly that with actors Lerato Mvelase, Nathaniel Ramabulana and Kgomotso Christopher.
Top musicians such as Manana, top designers Sindiso Nyoni, and Mzukisi Mbane, and influencers Jessica Mashaba and Phupho Gumede.
JR and Roxy Burger won bragging rights for the day’s matches, with Lloyiso and Shekhinah as runners up and Ketlile Lekgetho and Fezile Majozi in third place.

Celebrities battled it out on the court; Shekhinah and Lloyiso came out victorious from round one but were defeated by JR and Roxy Burger. Music entrepreneur, JR and Burger a former presenter were the ultimate padel champions, winning the first Racquet Club game.
“This isn’t just about play,” said Mokoena after stepping off court. “It’s about how we live and belong - connected, expressive, and active. On the court, it’s as much about camaraderie as it is about competition!

Held at the stylish Sass Café in Bedfordview, Johannesburg, the event was hosted by the effervescent Kuhle Adams and was filled with high energy, good vibes, and entertainment with a live set from DJ Mamthug.
Sports luxe was the theme of the day and white and red were the colours of the day brightening up the blue court.
It’s no secret that padel culture has taken over South Africa with it being the latest sports craze and these celebrities have joined in the craze.
While still in its early stages locally, padel is gaining rapid traction across South Africa. Industry insiders anticipate the sport could reach 2,500 courts and 500,000 players nationwide within the next couple of years.
