DJ Black Coffee (real name Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumulo) is arguably one South Africa’s biggest exports. His name is known across the globe, thanks to his stellar musical achievements.
The DJ may be super famous, but even he has moments of meeting other celebrities. Black Coffee recently took to Instagram and shared a series of pictures of his meeting with four-time Grammy winner Will Smith.
In his caption, the South African legend reflected on his encounter with Smith: “About a week ago got to meet one of the most hardworking and most inspiring legends @willsmith Big Honor🙏🏿”
The iconic actor and “Men in Black” rapper "has been spending time in Ibiza working on new music, drawing inspiration from the dance scene on the island," according to a press release shared with EDM.com.
It is unclear whether Black Coffee and Smith had any studio time during their encounter, however, it’s not impossible. Black Coffee has worked with international stars such as Drake, David Guetta and Usher.
Black Coffee’s post was filled with many of his followers admiring the pictures of the two legends together in Ibiza. Georgeavakian commented: “Legends chilling with legends!”
The “Drive” hitmaker is currently on his Summer tour and has been playing Ibiza, Barcelona and Mykonos.
Black Coffee earlier this year took some out from his busy schedule to recover from his plane accident in January. In March, he returned to the stage as he performed in the US, and in May, he began his Hi Ibiza Saturdays residency which runs till October.
