Tim Allen confirms Woody and Buzz's reunion in 'Toy Story 5', coming to theaters in 2026.

Without giving away too much, Tim Allen, the voice behind Buzz Lightyear, has confirmed that Woody and Buzz will indeed reunite in the new film. However, the spotlight will shine brighter on another cherished character, Jessie the cowgirl.
According to Allen, he will be realigning with Tom Hanks, who voices Woody, which confirms that there will indeed be an epic reunion for the two besties.
“I can tell you that it’s a lot about Jessie. Tom Hanks and I do — Woody and I — do realign. And there’s an unbelievable opening scene with Buzz Lightyear. I can give you that, but I can’t give you much more,” Allen confirmed in an interview with WIVB
In "Toy Story 5", Jessie, voiced by Joan Cusack, takes centre stage, allowing for a deeper exploration of her character. The film may explore her backstory or relationships with other toys, potentially bringing new energy and character interactions to the franchise.
