“The Mommy Club: Van Die Hoofstad” star Tessa Tullues promises that fans are in for a roller-coaster ride of emotions for the remainder of the season.

“I think viewers will love it because it is entertaining, glamorous and emotional, but it is also very real,” she said during an interview with “Independent Media Lifestyle.

She added: “People will see the highs and lows of being a modern woman, and I believe many will relate to our stories. The mix of personalities in the cast also adds a dynamic element that will keep people engaged.”

The Showmax Original is the third offering from the franchise, following the success of the three seasons of “The Mommy Club” and “The Mommy Club: Sugar & Spice”.

The latest offering, which has been causing a stir since it premiered, chronicles the daily lives of the mothers who are from the Pretoria Afrikaans community.

It showcases the vibrancy of the Jacaranda City as Tullues, together with Ansu Viljoen, Crystal Van Der Burgh, Johandri Johnson and Louise Volschenk as they set out to balance parenting, power and prestige.

Tullues, a former Mrs South Africa finalist, explained that reality show dynamics are enhanced by the fascinating mix of cast members, who each have a unique story.

“There were moments of laughter, sisterhood, and of course, drama because when you bring strong women together, sparks are bound to fly, but ultimately, I respect each of the ladies and what they bring to the show.”

The 36-year-old beauty entrepreneur and a single mom of two is thrilled to have opened her life to viewers.

“I feel incredibly blessed and excited for this new chapter,” Tullues admitted.

“Life has been a whirlwind, balancing motherhood, business and now reality TV, but I see it as an opportunity to inspire and connect with more people.”

“I’ve always believed in pushing boundaries and embracing new challenges, so this is another step in my journey of growth.”

She said that she decided to join the cast because she wanted to relate to other mothers.

“I wanted to share my story in a way that resonates with women, especially mothers who juggle multiple roles.”

“Life isn’t just about success, it’s about struggles, lessons and the power of resilience and by being part of ‘The Mommy Club van die Hoofstad’, I hope to empower women to chase their dreams, no matter their circumstances.”

Tullues described filming as both exciting and intense.

“There were moments of pure joy and fun, but also times when I had to be vulnerable,” she said.

“Being on camera while managing my businesses, family, and social commitments was definitely a learning experience, but I enjoyed every moment of it. The production team was amazing, and it felt like a journey of self-discovery.”

The Pretoria mom also promised that beyond the glitz and glamour, the show unpacks central themes that people from all walks of life will be able to resonate with.

“People might be surprised by the depth of our stories, and it’s not just about luxury lifestyles and glamorous events; there are real-life struggles, triumphs and emotional moments.”

“I think viewers will see sides of us they didn’t expect, and that’s what will make the show stand out.”

And for Tullues, the most fulfilling aspect about featuring on “The Mommy Club: Van Die Hoofstad” was the opportunity to inspire other women and to use her successes and struggles to connect with viewers in a meaningful way.

“The most challenging part has been balancing everything - business, motherhood and filming. It’s a lot, but I thrive in busy environments.”

Ultimately, she hopes to use the series as a platform to amplify her mission of empowering women.

“Whether it’s through my business ventures, mentorship or my personal story, I hope to inspire women to break barriers and create their own success.”

“If my journey can help just one woman believe in herself and take action, then I’ve achieved my goal.”
