Theatre lovers unite: 'My Fellow South Africans', 'Shrek the Musical' and 'Music in the Mountains' await

“My Fellow South Africans”
This multi-sketch satirical revue by renowned playwright Mike van Graan is a satirical take on contemporary South Africa.
The one-woman show, performed by Kim Blanche Adonis, combines comedy, music, poetry and drama.
It builds on the direction of some of the sketches by Rob van Vuuren and Daniel Richards in previous incarnations, with Van Graan also helming this production.
“My Fellow South Africans” has been staged across the country and its themes of tapping into our current anxieties and frustrations while allowing us a moment of catharsis and hope has resonated with scores of theatregoers.
Where: The Loft Theatre at The Playhouse Company.

"Shrek the Musical"
Shrek, the lovable green ogre, is coming to life in Durban this week.
This is as "Shrek the Musical" will be staged by the Young Performers Project as their annual production.
The titular role will be performed by Lyle Buxton, who played Shrek a decade ago.
He will be joined by James Armstrong as Donkey, Chloe Marot as the adult Fiona and Damien Butt as Lord Farquaad.
Where: Milkwood Theatre at Danville School.
When: April 25 to May 4.
"Music in the Mountains"
The Drakensberg Boys Choir will perform live at the Mountains Festival.
Between performances, visitors can explore hiking trails, enjoy local cuisine and soak in the awe-inspiring mountain scenery for a memorable weekend filled with music and relaxation.
