Five of the seven suspects implicated in the murders of Kiernan AKA Forbes and Tebello Tibz Motsoane appeared in court on Friday.

Two brothers, who were arrested in eSwatini for their alleged involvement in the murders of Kiernan 'AKA' Forbes and Tebello 'Tibz' Motsoane, have been granted leave to appeal their extradition.
Siyabonga Gezani Ndimande and Malusi Dave Ndimande were arrested following the fatal shooting, outside the Wish Restaurant in Florida Road in February 2023.
However, the brothers have denied their involvement, further fighting their extradition claiming that they fear for their lives. On Friday, the National Prosecuting Authority explained that in August this year, the Manzini Magistrate's Court issued an extradition order for the brothers to return to South Africa.
They filed a Notice of Appeal (NOA) to which the Prosecution argued that the NOA was invalid because it was filed late and asked the Eswatini High Court to declare it null and void.
"On Friday, the eSwatini High Court ruled that the NOA was filed on time and rejected the Prosecution's request. As a result, the appeal process will proceed as planned," said NPA spokesperson, Natasha Ramkisson-Kara.
Meanwhile, the matter against the remaining accused; Lindokuhle Thabani Mkhwanazi, Lindani Zenzele Ndimande, Siyanda Eddie Myeza, Mziwethemba Harvey Gwabeni and Lindokuhle Lindo Ndimande, continued in the Durban Magistrate's Court on Friday.
The five face charges of conspiracy to commit murder, murder, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, and five counts of attempted murder. The state also added two further charges of money laundering.
Ramkisson-Kara said following deliberations between the state and counsel for the accused, the case was remanded to February 7 for the indictment.
More arrests expected
KwaZulu-Natal police commissioner, Lieutenant General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, has hinted at more arrests. Mkhwanazi said when the case goes (back) to court, there will be interesting evidence that will show how far people will go when ordering hits on others.
