PE teacher jailed for seducing pupils

A PE mistress was jailed on Friday for having a sexual relationship with two girl pupils.

Sandrine Brown, 31, seduced a 14-year-old in a school store cupboard and later took up with the child’s 16-year-old friend.

On a ski trip in 2010, Brown, pictured, spent time in her hotel room with both girls.

In a victim impact statement, the 16-year-old said she felt she had been ‘groomed into thinking she was gay’.

Brown admitted one charge of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and five further counts of sexual activity with a minor. Neither her victims nor the school can be identified.

Sentencing her to 18 months at Warwick Crown Court, Judge Richard Griffith-Jones said a teacher could commit no greater betrayal than abusing a youngster who regarded them as a role model.

Brown, of Coventry, was ordered to sign the sex offenders register for ten years.
