Congolese forward Glody Lilepo was on the scoresheet on Saturday as Kaizer Chiefs earned a point from their Betway Premiership game against Sekhukhune United in Polokwane.
It was the 27-year-old’s sixth league goal since joining Amakhosi from from French third division club Valenciennes FC back in January.
Speaking after the game, Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi felt the player was yet to reach his full potential in a Chiefs jersey due to spending months on the sidelines at his former club.
“You can see that he’s a player that sometimes doesn’t finish games because his full potential is not reached yet,” the Tunisian tactician was quoted by iDiskiTimes when speaking about Lilepo after their clash.

“But we feel that once he reaches his full physical potential he will be used to his teammates, having a good preseason he’s a player than can do more than what he does right now.”
In a warning to defenders, Nabi felt Lilepo had the potential to find the back of the net regularly for Chiefs once he’ settled in at the Soweto club.
“He’s a player that is a winger but those kind of wingers that can easily finish the league with 10 goals. He’s a winger that likes to get inside, likes to score and he is looking all the time at opportunities to score or to make his teammate score.
“And we believe that he can even do more than that.”
Chiefs are still outside of the top eight, but with one game left to play, they will be confident they can get the job done. Amakhosi Amahle will conclude their league campaign when they host Polokwane at the FNB Stadium this coming weekend.
A win will see them leapfrog Chippa United – who have concluded their season – into eighth. Depending on how other results go, Nabi’s men could finish as high as sixth. If they lose to Polokwane, they could slide down to 12th.
