Brian Campbell triumphs over Aldrich Potgieter in a thrilling playoff to secure his first PGA Tour title at the Mexico Open.
Though his lead was cut from his overnight advantage of four, the 20-year-old PGA Tour rookie Aldrich Potgieter did well to stay in front ahead of the final round. Potigieter moved to 20-under with a four-under 67 in round three.
Potgieter held a three-shot lead after 10 holes in the final round, but a triple bogey six at the par three erased that advantage. Two more bogeys in his final three holes saw the 20-year-old miss out on forcing a playoff by one shot. American Johannes Veerman triumphed on five-under.
