Loyiso “Lloyiso” Gijana, the South African musical sensation, is riding high on the wave of success following the release of his latest offering, “High”.

Gijana details that the song designed as an anthem for perseverance, continues to resonate with listeners seeking motivation to overcome life's challenges and with its compelling message the song also marks a significant milestone in his artistic journey.

The music star reflects on the significance behind high, revealing that the creation stemmed from a personal battle.

“With 'High', I wanted to create an anthem for pushing through, rising above, and embracing the journey,” he explained.

“Shooting this video right after the BRITs felt symbolic, it was a moment of reflection and gratitude for how far I’ve come.”

Gijana also candidly shares how the song was also a reminder to stay resilient, “I was at a point in my life where a lot of aspects were breaking and facing a lot of rejection. 'High' was a reminder to myself that I want more for my life than what I was facing at the time. I just needed to stay resilient.”

He details that his determination to overcome challenges has shaped not only his music but also his outlook on life and artistry. In creating his music, the music star says he draws from personal experiences, ensuring authenticity in his sound.

“I love the idea that I get to share my art with people and have it impact them so much. Creating from a point of self helps me stay real,” he notes, emphasizing the connection between his experiences and his creative output.
