State capture clean-up: SIU to probe Gupta connections in Alexkor, Eskom, and other state entities

President Ramaphosa has signed proclamations enabling the SIU to investigate alleged corruption in multiple state institutions. The probe will examine Gupta-linked payments at Alexkor diamond mining company and expand existing investigations into Eskom, SABC, and SAA. The SIU aims to recover misappropriated state funds and identify systemic failures within these entities dating back to 2013.
