Legendary former Proteas skipper Graeme Smith is against a proposed two-tier system in Test cricket which would possibly come into effect in 2027.
Given the chance to heap praise on the Proteas for completing four Test wins in a row on home soil, South Africa captain Temba Bavuma said this is still plenty room for improvement.
Temba Bavuma was diplomatic in his response while hinting that the ‘big three’ (India, England, Australia) effectively control the scheduling of world cricket.
If the Proteas win the first Test at SuperSport Park against Pakistan which began on Boxing Day, they will book their place in the WTC final at Lord’s in June next year.
